Food was good and filling and the server was polite and attentive. My husband had the sushi which he enjoyed and I had the teriyaki chicken. It was good but nothing to write home about. On a side note, the decor is beautiful!!

Great food. Decent service, if you go try and get a personal grill. Its much more fun when you do

Great food and wonderful service! Just found out new favorite sushi restaurant and the prices are very reasonable! Five Sushi rolls for under $35! Great deal! And very tasty!

This is my second visit. The first was 5+ years ago where we enjoyed the hibachi show. The kids loved it, having seen similar shows at other places I was unimpressed. Fast forward to today; it was date night at Asuka. We choose not to sit at the grill and were seated in the bar area. This place has a nice atmosphere, but you will find many kids. The sushi and calamari were very good. Main courses were not as good (maybe just bad choices). Service is very good to excellent and the prices are reasonable enough I will certainly be back, but just for sushi and the calamari

My test of a sushi place is octopus. Asuka had the best octopus I've had in Spring Hill. But that's like being the world's tallest midget, it's still not great. I got a bento box as well and the teriyaki shrimp was fine. You don't get miso with it though, you get whatever they call "chicken stock with really thin mushroom slices". The California roll didn't have cucumber in it, weird. The edamame was cooked correctly. My server was nice. The previous reviewer got it perfectly. It's okay, I'll probably be back, but I can't tell you why.

Best Japanese food around! Not crazy about the salad and soup but the entrees are to die for. Especially the ribeye and chicken hibachi!

Great hibachi food for a decent price. You can't go wrong with the chicken, steak or shrimp. Do yourself a favor and get a double order of the seafood sauce.

I love Teppan Grills and I love Sushi... I don't LOVE Asuka, but it's good if you don't feel like driving to a better Teppan Grill in Franklin. I've been to their bar, had their sushi, dined with a huge group at a hibachi table, tried their happy hour and gone with just my husband... each visit was OK. Their wine/sake list isn't great, their sushi is really not great, their hibachi dinner soup is seriously dreadful and their "show" is generally dull (apart from one chef who was very entertaining). The quality of their hibachi food (soup being the exception) is average and if you have a coupon, their prices aren't too high. Overall, I'm not an Asuka fan... the service isn't great, the food is mediocre, it's on the high side without a coupon, but it is a relatively fun time with a group that doesn't want to drive outside of Spring Hill. I personally would rather drive to Shogun or Omikoshi in Cool Springs.

We like going here, I'm not sure why other than it is somewhat close to our house. They don't have the best Sushi and hibachi in town. Their prices are a bit high without a coupon. Service isn't great. It's like Denny's, You end up there and you're not sure why. When you leave you're not upset that you went, you're just not sure you would come back. Then you end up eating there again so it can't be all that bad.

Won't hurry back for sushi. It was okay, fresh but nothing to get excited over. Miso soup a bit too fishy and husbands soup that came with his Benito box was very bland. Tempura was good. Decor is beautiful. Service was great. May try hibachi there one day.

I've read some other reviews and agree to an extent. Here's the deal, if you want a "better" hibachi or sushi, you can drive to Nashville and goto Kobe or Goten...or Cool Springs and eat at Omikoshi or Shogun. Calling a spade, a spade, Asuka is a fun Hibachi for kids. Is the food 5star, no...but, where in Spring Hill is? I contend that if you're going to a hibachi, then part of what you're paying for is to be entertained. The gentlemen we've had each time have made the kiddos smile...and the adults. If Asuka was in Nashville or Cool Springs, it would be a 3 star....but it isn't. It is Spring Hill's only restaurant of its kind and is an enjoyable place with decent food and attentive service...4 star in Spring Hill.

This is my favorite place to eat in Spring Hill. I have never left here hungry, and have not once had a problem with either the service or the food.

Most awful food snd service. Don't ever take for granted you'll get Hibachi cooked style when you order to go. Shrimp overcooked, rice overcooked, veggies undercooked, and No sympathy to make it right. Just burn your money in back yard. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I've been a repeat Asuka customer since it opened. The sushi is excellent & the Hibachi is amazing. The atmosphere is perfect for date night or just casual dining. As with most Japanese steakhouses the price can be on the high side of moderate but if you get there for lunch or sushi happy hour you can save a few bucks. Our typical bill is $40 for three people with tip and no bar drinks. They do offer mixed drinks, beer and an adequate selection of wines if that's your thing. We typically sit in the general dining area, but if you're looking to entertain a group, the hibachi tables are the ticket!

Asuka is apparently great for groups. Haven't done that yet but there is a good funny waiter named "Baba San" who is supposed to be the most entertaining for the hibachi. If hibachi is not your style, there is a small sushi bar seating area and plenty of booths as well. I had the sushi/8 pc. nigiri combo dinner, $14, comes with miso and salad, all well appointed. My girlfriend had the glazed chicken, which was well-textured with chewy soft center and crisp exterior. The sauce on the chicken was very sweet and the wreath of steamed broccoli was a welcome cleanser. That dish is about $12 and includes steamed rice. The portions are Spring Hill sized, so don't worry about ordering extras. We finished with green tea ice cream. It came with two nice spherical scoops and had a very creamy/buttery taste.
